Why I Started 4D Inspections

As a retired Army Chief Warrant Officer Four, I spent two decades in service as an Intelligence professional. My work required precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing clear, concise, and actionable insights. These are the qualities I now bring to my second career as a home inspector, where my focus is not just on providing a service, but on transforming the way people experience home inspections. I’ll never forget the first home inspection I ever received.  I was eager to learn about my home, but my inspector did not take the time to answer my questions on site, and he simply emailed me the inspection report, and he was off to the next inspection.  No follow-up email, no phone calls, no service.

I chose to become a home inspector because I wanted to provide my clients with a better experience than mine, and to help them make informed decisions—this time about one of the most significant investments they will ever make: their home. A home inspection is much more than just ticking boxes on a checklist. It’s about uncovering potential issues that could impact a homeowner’s safety, comfort, and financial future.

Changing the Way You Experience Inspections

The traditional home inspection experience often leaves clients with a vague sense of what was inspected, what problems were found, and what those problems mean for their home. At 4D Inspections, we are determined to change that. I believe that an inspection should be a thorough, immersive experience that empowers you with the information you need to make confident decisions about your property.

We go above and beyond standard inspections by offering the 360 Degree Inspection Immersion Experience. This unique service allows clients to see exactly where each discovery is located within the home, accompanied by detailed narratives and pictures. This not only helps you understand what needs attention but also where those issues are within the house, providing a clearer and more comprehensive view of the home’s condition. With our advanced thermal imaging technology, we can detect hidden issues like water leaks and insulation gaps that would otherwise go unnoticed by the naked eye. Our Repair Pricer tool even helps you get an estimate of repair costs based on what was discovered, allowing you to better plan for potential expenses.

Additionally, we provide a digital home binder, which organizes all your home’s maintenance needs and documents for easy access. This means you won’t have to worry about keeping track of important documents, as we do it for you. Furthermore, our inspection discovery discussion allows you to speak directly with us after the inspection, ensuring all of your questions are answered and that you fully understand what was found and what actions may be needed.

I’ve tailored these services to provide more than just an inspection report—I’m offering you a comprehensive, actionable home evaluation. You don’t just get a list of problems; you get a clear understanding of what those problems mean and how they might impact you.

Why I Love This Job

I love my job because it gives me the opportunity to continue helping people, but in a different and deeply impactful way. Home inspections are not just about finding issues—they’re about helping homeowners avoid future surprises and ensuring they are making an informed decision about the property they are about to buy or sell. Whether it’s a first-time homebuyer or a seasoned investor, everyone deserves a thorough inspection that gives them peace of mind.  It gives me great satisfaction to sit down with my client, walk through the virtual 360 Degree Inspection Immersion Experience with them, and see the their expressions change from fear and uncertainty into knowledge and a clear plan of action.  Just love it.

This job also allows me to apply the same commitment to excellence and attention to detail that I developed during my military career. Just like in intelligence work, where it’s crucial to analyze every detail to inform a decision, home inspections require the same level of scrutiny. No two homes are alike, and no two inspections should be either. I take pride in treating every property with the same level of care and diligence, ensuring that my clients receive the highest standard of inspection available.

What truly excites me about this field is that it’s always evolving. There are always new tools, technologies, and methods to learn, and it’s my mission to stay at the forefront of these advancements to provide the best service possible. This means that my clients will always benefit from the latest in home inspection technology, from moisture meters to indoor air quality tests, ensuring every aspect of the property is thoroughly checked.

A Commitment to Service

At the heart of 4D Inspections is a commitment to service. We want every client to feel like they’ve received a top-tier inspection and that they’ve been treated with the utmost respect. This is why we go beyond what’s required—offering added services like water quality tests, radon testing, and sewer scope inspections—to ensure that every potential concern is addressed. Whether you’re purchasing, selling, or just want to make sure your home is safe, we provide a thorough and transparent experience that you can rely on.

In conclusion, becoming a home inspector was a decision driven by my desire to help others and to apply my skills in a way that creates real value for my clients. The work is deeply rewarding, and I’m excited to continue changing the way home inspections are experienced. I’m committed to not just meeting expectations but exceeding them, ensuring that every client receives the clarity, confidence, and peace of mind they deserve when it comes to their home.
